ABC is here to help you heal from the inside out.

ABC understands that life can get tough and big feelings can impact on the way we feel about ourselves, see others and interact with the world around us.

Our qualified and experienced ABC therapists help you at a time when you need it most.

Helping Children, Young People and Families

We believe it is crucial that children and young people are listened to in a non-judgemental way and that they form a confidential and trusting relationship with an experienced professional who can support them through life’s challenges and empower them to move forward in a positive way.

Supporting Schools

ABC currently works in primary and secondary schools across Teesside offering counselling, play therapy and therapeutic group work. If you are a Head teacher who is interested in commissioning therapy services in your school, ABC can provide a tailor made service to fit the needs of your school.

Support for Professionals

ABC provide a range of high quality  consultancy, training and professional support services to schools, children’s homes, frontline workers and other professionals. These include clinical supervision and bespoke training packages to support continuing professional development (CPD).

Helping in the Community

As a key part of the community ABC provides free Essentials Packs to local families facing financial hardship (referrals received via local schools).  ABC has distributed £130,610 worth of free Essential Products to December 2023.

ABC currently runs two school transition clubs for children and young people who are worried, anxious or concerned about attending secondary school. Clubs have included workshops and fun/participatory activities from paintballing to pantomimes.

Transition Clubs

Each Transition Group involves the child attending one weekly two hour session over 46 weeks per year. The sessions currently run from 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursdays and Fridays and are free to the children and young people accessing them.
